The firm had the opportunity to work in the District of Perus in 14 public plazas, a public-private partnership between Guapuruvu and the Subprefecture of Perus. Part of the construction funding came from carbon credits. The design process involved residents, field surveys, and plaza programming. Meetings were held in the area, at plazas, in the streets to ensure broad participation in the projects. The appropriation of public spaces by users is essential for their maintenance. Each project creates spaces for recreation, meetings, opportunities for environmental education, and awareness about the importance of natural resources conservation within urban areas, green infrastructure innovations, and the connection of ecological corridors.
